This beginner’s Wheel Throwing course offers you the chance to practice and develop the skills needed to throw pots on the potter's wheel. You will be taken through the process of throwing a range of shapes such as bowls, mugs and plates. You will also learn the skill of 'turning' your pots which allows youth trim off the excess clay from underneath, carve a footing and decorated or embellish if you like.

You will also be shown simple and effective glazing techniques, with access to our variety of stoneware glazes.

This course is very much tailored to the individual, allowing for a range of skill levels and desired areas of learning to be met. We welcome everyone to the studio to have a go and enjoy learning in a very relaxed and supportive environment.
