2 Day Master Classes
A two day learning experience in the studio which takes an in-depth look at the making of specific shapes, such as JUGS and LARGE BOWLS. There will be a focus on aspects such as centring larger amounts of clay, turning hacks, shaping jug lips & pulling handles.
2 Day Intensive Courses
Learn basic throwing skills in two days. You will be taught techniques to ‘centre’ the clay on the wheel and the process of ‘lifting’(pulling up) the clay to shape bowls and cylinders. We will also teach you how to turn your pots once leather hard - giving you the chance to refine your forms and also create foot rings. +suitable for beginners.
4 Day Intensive Courses
We offer beginners and intermediate 4 day throwing courses. The beginners course is an introduction to throwing, turning and handling. The intermediate course covers clay preparation, production throwing with a focus on refining your existing skills.
Weekly Courses
General course: a range of techniques including throwing, coil building, slab building, making with moulds, decorative techniques, and glazing, suitable for beginners.
Beginners throwing: an introduction to throwing, turning handling and glazing, suitable for beginners.
Intermediate throwing: hone your skills with preparing the clay, centring, learning to throw larger - more challenging shapes, the repetition of pots the same size and shapes, handling and glazing.
One-Off Workshops
Join us for an evening in the studio learning to throw a bowl!
We also offer a range of one day workshops where you can explore hand building techniques.
